Three students at Sacred Heart School were awarded a month's tuition from the Joseph Palmisano Memorial Scholarship Fund on March 19th at a school assembly for all grades. Winners were selected from essays written by students during Catholic Schools Week, which occurs on the first week of February. The topic was on the importance of their education at Sacred Heart School and its impact on their lives. Secondly, they wrote the reasons the scholarship would benefit them. Finalists were picked by the teachers and from these three winners were selected by the Palmisano family as follows:
Grades Kindergarten to 2nd- John Phon
Grades 3rd to 5th- Gwyneth Wiehelhous
Grades 6th to 7th- Ana Bello.
Funding for the scholarships is from the annual Joseph Palmisano Basketball Clinics and donations from individuals and businesses.
